Well someone viewed the DWY source code for the flash when they added the test stuff and they coded in for 8. 8 makes sense too - eight sides to the octagon. Also, in the video to accompany Test 3 Hans said "we aren't yet half way through" and then for the video accompanying Test 4 he stated "we are now over halfway"
From this, it definitely seems like 8 tests.
@ nickb: Ange and Zort70 added it to the main page. We try to just sort of add to the posts if there is new info rather than making a new post one for every development :D. Hope that helps.
@Speculator: It's almost like they started this ARG with the glyph hunt from TLE and we are all hoping it'll pick up! Where as TLE was BLAMMO out of the gate then glyph glyph glyph coma in the end.
@lisa: I kind of feel like with Hans being so frustrated in the last video, and now with us all calling, they might cut the assessments short. I just took test 5 with my non-cheater, toilet scrubbing account and I'm in Chronos.
It was interesting.. the first 6 questions were really, really, really easy and then I got #7 wrong (didn't want to cheat) and after that the questions were harder. This was a different experience than when I tried the test not logged in at all. I remember those questions all being harder. Do you think the DI is trying to help out poor, intellectually challenged non-cheater dummy account? lol

Hi Catherine! do you mean that you can't open test 5 at all? There was a point yesterday when something similar happened to me; the tab for test 5 kind of just went blank and it wouldn't open; (i think it was just the site having a funny 5 mins) because then i tried opening another tab and then tried it and it was fine. I recommend just trying again later, maybe it will sort itself out.
Well after a day of messing with the cheat I finally got 100%. Ta Da! lol

I'm sorry maven. I know you've probably read every explaination out there like I did but maybe if I explain you can get it.
Skip all the qestions until you get to # 7 You'll have 3 sets of numbers. Take the last set and "say what you see" example 111321 would be 31131211 (3 - 1s, 1-3, 1-2 and 1-1)
Ok now you have that. use your 3 sets of numbers. The first set = 1 the second set = 2 and the third set = 3. So you would click set 3 set 1 set 1 set 3 set 1 set 2 set 1 set 1. Then wait a few seconds and the screen should flash and flip over with a score of 100%.
Be sure to wait a few seconds because I think that was my problem nothing happened immediately and I would click the back button.
I hope this helps. If you understood and didn't need this explainaton I apologize. I just want to help you get 100% too. :)

I just checked that again on the DWY site and it just says it will be the cut off for your test to make you a instructor- what ever that means !! doesn't say we can't make them any more or take them.
Ah ha, I suppose it makes sense to keep the test creation and taking tests live, taking that away might get rid of the one thing that has sparked some interest.

Don't know if i'm being way behind the times here and maybe its already been disproved, but at the lost forums they reckon that a forum member there by the name of ludic fallacy is black swan; and reading up on what the ludic fallacy is and their argument in the thread i just found it interesting, possible even. But anyway, i've only just come across it, so if it is old news, please forgive me and let me know!

I love all the counterfactual history stuff, though... I was looking into that ever since I found out what a Black Swan Event is. It makes some sense to me that what the DI (or at lease Ben and Widmore) has always really been about is to REALLY change (or find out) how to improve predictibility. Counterfactual historians theorize... do Ben and Widmore or the DI go beyond theorizing because they can with the "special properties of the island"? Do they sacrifice real people's lives in the hopes of the greater good?

My first impression is that this person is not the black swan. I haven't read many of the posts but one person's opinion of this being true is that--

This person is mistaken on the timing. The email with the "Banks Claw" clue in it came out on Jul. 29th Ludic posted the above information on the 29th. If this is Ludic's first post then it seems to me that they found the clue researched it and chose a name based on it.
Ludic asked another poster if the had been classified yet after taking the test. The other poster asks classified? Ludic says No word yet... physicist? doctor? janitor?
Which is the list of positions shown in the commercial. I think this is what Ludic was referring to.
When asks if they had been classified Ludic answers "Two Swans, one black, one white...based on my name, I am part of the Black Swan team!
Again I think this comes from the research he probably did on black swan and is having fun with it like codysmom has.The picture on the book The Black Swan has a black swan on a lake with a reflection of a white swan in the water. I don't know like I said this is just my first impression.

I just thought i would post this, since i have been PONDERING over it since yesterday. (got to stop using that word!) I have decided that i would not be surprised if the Ludic Fallacy (theory) did not play a major part to come in the story of this arg. It just fits in so nicely against the DI's wish to change the numbers, especially if Black Swan is in agreement with this theory, which his choosing of the name of Taleb's book would suggest. I think you're on to something Emerald. And if the VE is involved, Mittlewerk can't be far behind, perhaps! We know what a stickler he was in TLE for following the VE to the letter, by the percentages, etc. Maybe TPTB will bring him back to finish the job as he threatened.

I was finaly able to get the cheat to work.I did it yesterday,but didn't wait long enough,(after the Dharma ding.)
Tonight I tried it a few times not logged in, to make sure I was doing it right.And now I have a Black Swan 100.

When I view my progress, there's a male voice in the background music. It sounds like he's saying single words or short phrases, possibly backward. Has anyone been able to decode this yet? I don't know how to get the sound file to listen to it reversed.
