Hey, guys. Happy Holidays.
One of the fun things about shooting the show in Hawaii is how completely inconsequential Mother Nature makes us feel. This week a landslide hit one of our upcoming locations, and now we can't shoot there for a couple of weeks while the site is restored. In season two it rained for a truly Biblical 42 straight days and nights, which required lots of schedule revisions, and when that wasn't possible our fearless crew put on their wading boots and shot for days on end in mud that was literally knee deep and higher.
Speaking of mud, this week our exclusive video for you features OUR ANSWERS to YOUR QUESTIONS, which many of you sadly will find maddeningly obtuse and muddy. Other LOST fans, like our mothers for example, will find our answers sparking, insightful and maybe even amusing.

Since Dennis made a post on the DSA here I would assume we'd discuss the sneek peek here. We have in the past. I didn't watch the clip this time. I've waited so long for the new season to start I don't want these clips ruining it.
If they were being honest and the Smoke Monster has been on the island before the D.I. then that makes me want to know even more about the the Four Toed Statue people, because it had to be their creation. IMO. I've been curious about that statue ever since we first seen it.
Sayid'sgirl: Yes, the Smoke Monster answer was the only one of real value! I'm guessing that the DI was trying to control it. Maybe Ben was truthful when Locke asked him about the SM and Ben said he didn't know.
I would think we can discuss the sneak here, but I hate to exclude those who don't want to watch it and then they would have to stay away from this thread.
I'm fine with people discussing clips that Damon and Carlton give us, but you guys decide. I can make a separate post for spoiler discussion if you want or whatever... just let me know.

The only thing I wanted to say about the clip was that Ben is still lying left and right!
I don't know about anyone else but I don't mind if the clips are discussed here. I'm pretty good at advoiding spoilers here if they happen to pop up on occasion. And since I know you'll be discussing it here I'll know to have a fast scroller finger if I see the start of something I want to advoid. lol
And I think that Ben is the person behind the DNA thing in the previous sneak peak. He has to get a way for Kate to want to leave her perfect life with Aaron and go back to the island. He's probably manipulating everyone to want to go back.

I kind of got the same feeling as you maven, that Ben is behind the lawyers showing up at Kate's house.

Last I heard from Ange on FB: She's still without electricity and her generator blew!
Oh no. I hate to hear that.I sent her a message on myspace this morning and things were ok then. I hope she's able to get another one. Or some place safe and warm.
By ok I mean her generator was working then.
The latest: She has an extension cord from a neighbor, and she's going to get a shower at the neighbor's tomorrow. But she's very cold! And she still thinks no power until Friday! :) We all want to send her electricity!

I think the part about the runway in the Q&A was important too. I'm too lazy to find the exact quote, but Damon (right guy?) bet that it wasn't important to the plot against Carlton (left guy?) who said it was integral to season 5.
Then, Damon said the loser of the bet could punch the winner in the stomach, and Carlton said that things didn't look good for him.
I take that to mean that the runway is really important, and maybe it ties in with Ajira Airways.
Stephen: My first thought, too, was: Runway=Ajira Airways! But I can't imagine a jet the size we see on the Ajira site landing on that airstrip! Damon was the one who took the bet that the runway meant nothing, whereas Carlton bet that it would be very important to the story. They both should have a big "A" tattooed on their foreheads...A for ambiguous!
Haha, it's good to know who is who now. All I know for sure is, this season will be AWESOME! I can't wait!
Yipee! I got my question answered! (In case you were wondering, my question was the one about the smoke monster and the Dharma Initiative)
Plus, mine was pretty much the only one they actually gave a substantial answer to...so that's definitely cool.

Hi guys (and hello to newcomer, sqeeee!!). I'm excited about how close we're getting to Season 5!!!
I actually saw the promo pics and have decided to view the spoilers this year. It must be because my patience turned bitter:) It will be a new experience for me, since I never did the spoilers before. I'll let you know later if I regret it! At least then I can decide whether or not to be spoiler-free for the last season.

Codysmom (BS): I, too, have broken my golden rule and have watched the clips from DSA. I figure Darlton wouldn't give too much away and really spoil any big surprise. The "bad" spoilers on other sites is what I am avoiding. It's sort of like good cholesterol and bad cholesterol! LOL
And if we thought spoilers are bad now, S6 is just going to be very dangerous for us!

Yeah, I decided to go all spoilery starting just earlier this week. That means other than the DSA and all promos and sneak peeks, I'm even now getting into the spoiler stuff at darkufo (but I'm not going back to see what I missed). I think the thing about spoilers is that what you get is very subjective as far as interpretation and who knows when TPTB are trying to fool us? BUT I have seen some definite things and I must say it's very, very interesting!!!

Hey everyone! Just dropping by for a quick hello. Haven't had a chance to check out this DSA yet. I have been watching season 4 on DVD while staying up late wrapping presents, baking, etc. (too much to do, too little time- you'd think I'd get organized since I get behind every year! ;P) Anyway, I'm taking mental notes and may jot a few things down, but I have some questions, you all can probably clear up. It's been a lot of fun watching the epis back to back- I've picked up on things I didn't before. I had forgotten how great season 4 was!! I soooooo can't wait until next month!
BTW- Happy Belated Birthday Dennis!!! Thanks for all the work you do on this (and the Fringe) blog. Hope you had a wonderful day!
I've been watching the DVD also.The DSA's and the sneak peaks may take some of the edge off seeing the episodes,but I can't help myself.
I am being careful not to go to places where major spoilers will get me.That would be commiting spoilicide.
FYI: There's a new promo out. It's posted at Dark's under spoilers. It is unbelievable. All I can say is they definitely know how to build anticipation for S5! There is so much going on in that promo...including reversed audio!

Second, I'm very, very scared to watch ABC now. I remember last year having to avert my eyes every time a LOST promo came on during football which is pretty much the only thing I watch on ABC. Maybe Auburn's abysmal season is a blessing in disguise. Weagle, Weagle indeed Lost2010.

Ooh, good promo! I'm trying to avoid stuff like spoilerfix and other blatant reports, but I can't help watching promos and sneak peaks. :)
I am tired of posting on both sites! Any talk of the promos since they directly relate to the show should be over at TLC, IMHO!
Plus, Dennis' post does warn people that talk of spoilers might be happening there.
I think this site should be for the DSA releases, since they are sort of the outcome of the failed ARG. This is just my opinion.

well, we just got our light back on 20 minutes ago after 8 days without power. I think we are now going to have a cooking party so that everything in our freezer isn't a total loss. We have like $600 worth of food in there that is almost totally thawed that has to now be cooked or will be a total loss. Nothing here was damaged on our land except on possible exception. There is a tree leaning because the roots are pulling out of the ground. it's hanging right over our little chicken pen so Kevin is on his way out to hopefully cut it down before it crashes with the weight of the new snow that's on the way. there is a foot of snow coming in the next hour so they say. Yuck !! I have my fingers crossed that the coop and chickens will survive this mess. Anyway, glad to be back with lights, heat and a hot shower. Hope you are all ok. Lisa
Wow, glad that you're getting back online Lisa! Your party idea reminds me of a not-so-funny-but-funny thing that happend to a coworker of mine. Their youngest kid got something out of the big freezer and the door didn't close all the way (for the whole day) so they had to have a "Meat Party" and invited us all over to help them eat all the meat.
Yes, save the chickens! Aw, many prayers that things will get easier and the snow won't fall. :-)

Lisa, glad you have your power back!!! Sorry you had to go through that and hate to tell you, but if you're going to get the snow we're getting now, watch out!!! We have at least 8 inches new snow and it's still coming (and blowing). What a storm! Even the universities are closed here, so you know it's bad.

Oh Lisa, I totally feel your pain. Your in NH? I'm in Gardenr, MA and the Army/National Guard is still here. I was out of power for 6 days and it was not even a little fun. I have learned that I am NOT GOOD without heat, water, and power LOL. I guess I wouldn't make it as a contestant on Survivor. Glad you and yours are okay, and I hope the chickens made it. I dunno about you but I'm still catching up on my internetting, for example I just realized there was a new post. Off to catch up.
