Thin, what are you talking about? That link has nothing to do with DCPB

Anonymous said...

It's just for conversation, and yes it is not part of the damonlovescarltonlikeapolarbear
extravaganza, sorry if this was confusing.

maven said...

Hahaha, Thin! Thanks for that poster! I guess we can pass the time naming everyone in it!

Hey Capcom
Pooh over at Dark's forum has recieved her Locke poster today.
So hopefully you'll be getting yours soon.

Ha! I never noticed the typo. Well, once I saw 'skatedeck' on it I hardly read the letter, just tucked into the box.

Capcom said...

Yay SG and Lottery! I thought that I heard the UPS guy this a.m., but alas, it was a false alarm. :-(

LOL Deneph.

Locke's poster is worth the wait, hang in there!

Glad to hear those who got their posters are happy!

Scoutpost said...

Woo hoo! Got my Locke poster...bad news is (I'm ashamed to say) I can't get the poster tube open. What the heck?!!!!!

Tess315 said...

Scoutpost
According to some people at Dark's forum there's a seam or something part way down the tube where you open it. It might be under a label or something if I remember correctly.

Scoutpost said...

Needle nose pliers to the rescue!! yea!

#111

I'll try to take some pictures...gotta get it to lay a little flatter first.

Scoutpost said...

Ah yes SG...too bad I didn't see your post (or the seam) before taking the end off the tube. oh well.

Tess315 said...

Congrats Scoutpost!
Glad you got your poster and glad you got it open.
Can't wait to get my Dharma Van I'll keep the needle nose pliers close by just in case. ;)

Capcom said...

Heheh, I haven't looked for the mailman with this much anticipation since I was a kid during Christmas. :-o

Scoutpost said...

haha, as long as you know there's a seam you'll be ok!

At the bottom in the white area it says (very much laid out like a typical movie poster):

Terry O'Quinn (in large letters)

Executive Producers: JJ Abrams Damon Lindelof Bryan Burk Carlton Cuse

With Original music by:
Michael Giacchino

Director:
Jack Bender

Cinematography:
Larry Fong

In Collaboration with:
Gallery 1988

Poster Design:
Olly Moss

Then underneath all these names it says:
Based on the hit television series "LOST" featuring Emilie DeRaven Naveen Andrews Matthew Fox Jorge Garcia Maggie Grace Josh Holloway Malcom David Kelley Daniel Dae Kim Yunjin Kim Evangeline Lilly Dominic Monaghan Terry O'Quinn Harold Perrineau Ian Somerhalder

Then in the far bottom right corner, just above the poster # and artist signature is an Oceanic Airlines logo and a Dharma logo

Amy Lynn said...

Did they really spell Emilie's name wrong, or is that just a typo?

Scoutpost said...

typo sorry- Emilie De Ravin

Scoutpost said...

Ok I'll send the pictures via email to Zort, and then set up an online photo account and give ya'll a link.

Capcom said...

Mailman came! :-D

Do everyone's posters have white skips in the green and black paint screening as an effect, or is it just mine? :-o

Scoutpost said...

Yes capcom....mine does too

Scoutpost said...

Ok I'll have to post the links later... posted some pics to twitpics and now twitter is overloaded...but I did email the pics to Zort.

Capcom said...

Whew, thanks Scoutpost. :-) No chance of an exchange with this merchandise.

Tess315 said...

Can't wait to see them Scoutpost.

Scoutpost said...

Sorry, these are not great pictures of the poster and not all that I took, but I'm having a few technical difficulties and now I have to pick up the kids. Hope you can see them without a twitter account, if not I'll try to get a photobucket when I get back.

I was able to access the picture without logging in.

I also went to FB and seen your pic there.

maven said...

You guys are great in your enthusiasm! I saw your pic earlier on FB, Scoutpost. Hope I can get excited about a poster soon!

Capcom said...

Nice pix Scoutpost. I went to the Michaels in town tonight to check on a frame, and the only ones in that size are in the $40+ range. I'll definitely be shopping around before I fork out another $50 on this.

Tess315 said...

Capcom
$40 huh. I'm wanting to frame mine too. I guess I better shop around before mine gets here.

Capcom said...

The craft shops have a lot of those thin black frames, that are economical, but they only went up to 16x20 in our Michaels here. The only ones available in the 18x24 were the more substantial thick wood frames, which are very nice but were around $45. So I'm like you, I'm going to shop around, even as badly as I'd like to get the poster hung so I can enjoy it and not crinkle it by taking it out of the tube too many times. I suppose to do it right, we should have a bigger frame with a mat, to keep the paint from touching the glass or plexi, to preserve it longer as a collectible. But as long as it lasts for my lifetime, I'm happy.

I wonder if there is meaning to the typo in the letter the first poster orderer received. It says, "not a band combination" instead of "bad combination." Hm...

As this post has over 200 comments now I've created a NEW POST to showcase a couple of the poster received by contributors to the LostArgs
