There is some speculation in the comments that R H stands for Ron Herman as he bought a store from Fred Segal and has a store in Tokyo.
Looking at this image of the Tokyo store from the Ron Herman website it shows an Ivy wall and a sign for Melrose Avenue.
Also we have had the following extra clue from Andy as part of the first purchaser letter for poster 9 -
Thanks to LotteryTicket for telling us first about the clue and AndySchex for letting us have a copy of the letter.

4AM here, off to bed... Hold on the reveal until I get back in about 5 hours, please, thanks! lol
Good night!
its officia;,,m friday..t sat
MEL
New clue! Looks like Friday for LA and Saturday for Tokyo!
New post
At least we can rest now
You guys (girls) are quick. Double reveal.
LT -- I am going to try to direct message you on twitter (I am Ob_FuSc8)
Did anyone figure out the hours of the respective stores? Might be at the same time (moment) which would limit it to a smaller window than "FRI"
^^^^
Agrees.
So I guess at the earliest, the reveal would be 5 pm Pacific if it's simultaneous since that's 9 a.m. or so Tokyo time. So we're looking at an 8 pm or later time on the East Coast. Boooooooooo. It's Friday night. I have plans.
Interesting they waited till after the Japan opening time before posting the clue - yeah, you love to keep us hangin eh Tyson! lol its all good. cu.
As a byline - also interesting the way they kept changing the same picture for all clues.
So..does this mean they are going to go on sale Friday? I'm new to this. how does it work? Thanks!
New clue up. Melrose on Fri. Tokyo on Sat. no time yet.
It 11:31 right now in Tokyo , so I'm going to guess sometime around this time on FRI. Maybe up to a couple hours earlier. Too much earlier and it'll really be too early in Japan.
A G - yes youre onto it. Could be any time of the day perhaps, being they just show the days and no times like the previous ones have. They would have to reveal both at the same time.
waffle -- can you stay close to a laptop...I can try to help you
hmmm...thought I posted a comment. If this comes through twice I apologize. Just reporting that DCaaPB was just updated with this info: Melrose Fri./Tokyo Sat. no time yet.
new clue says fri and sat
NEW CLUE
site just updated....Friday in Melrose and Saturday in Tokyo...don't know times yet
All there is an update now to the clue....Friday US and Saturday Tokyo.
LOSTnSC
The Tokyo store might open at a different time being Saturday. 11am Mon-Fri only?
New clue up! Friday in LA; Saturday Tokyo. It's on!
picture is updated people says melrose friday, tokyo saturday, go to bed!
does the light travel differently here?

for photos from Tokyo
The time is going to be a killer. There's 16 hours difference in Ca. and Tokyo.
I think maven said the Melrose store opened a 9am. The Tokyo store opens at 11am. I wonder how late they stay open?
ObFuSc8 - Thanks for the offer, but I'm not going to worry until we get an actual time. I'm going to a concert, but I don't care about the first two openers, and the show starts at 9 p.m. eastern. So I could be ok.
I was hoping for Thursday, but now I see that the photo has been updated to Friday & Saturday. I hope we don't have to wait until Saturday.
so if Friday comes before Saturday Melrose will see it before Tokyo..
MEL
The only concurrent time I can think of is if the Friday reveal is while they are closing at 7pm PST, then it would be 11am Tokyo time Saturday morning, unless the store opens earlier than that.
reveal on a Friday evening? boo. May need a poster bud for this one. Have evening plans.
Melrose store opened M-Sat 10-7PM.
Tee Hee Mel ;)
ill be at the tokyo opening on sat
Seems the 7pm PST and 11AM Tokyo time Saturday might be it?
Amy, they could keep the LA store open late or open early in Tokyo
MEL
Wow what a night.
I am tired and will have to be brief. Great night in Chat Room.
Congested has the tale.
Hiroki is our Hero and will try again on Sat. reveal day for him in Tokyo
Good night.
maven, that might be it, but I think we should be *on alert* at least a few hours before and later. It's feasible to have the Tokyo store open as early as 7-8 AM (3-4PM LA) or keep the LA store open late, even up to 10-11 PM (2-3PM Tokyo).
@maven - I think you're right. With the 16 hr time difference the only overlapping store hours for both stores is 7pm Los Angeles times.
sarkk -- cool are you in Japan too? Have we found another Japanese LostFan?
new image up. fri in la, sat in tokyo
Thanks maven for the Melrose store times.
7pm for Melrose and 11am for Tokyo is the only concurrent time frame, but that would mean the Melrose store would have to stay open past closing. That is if it's inside the store.
Maybe it won't be concurrent times. The Crumbs reveal wasn't was it? The time difference is so big it's hard to tell what they will do. Maybe we'll find out before Friday.
Thanks Lotto and Hiroki...think of it as practice.,,,and thank the masters at clue central for letting us know..but i'm sure they had a few laffs....MEL
ObFuSc8-
actually i'm moving back to japan tomorrow... good timing eh?
The Crumbs reveal was different, that's right.
the words friday (following melrose) and saturday (following tokyo) have now been added.
Why not a after hours party for high fashion Lost Fans?
...MEL
I was going to ask about Crumbs - I wasn't paying too much attention then - but if they did separate times with that, they could do it again.
Here's the thing about what happened at Crumbs... Congested got the URL at like 7 or 8 AM EST, way before the jumpsuits even got there. So, for all intents and purposes, there was not so much of a point to the LA event other than to go look at people in jumpsuits.
If the reveals are on staggered time, I hope there's some kind of giveaway or something cool for the Tokyo store that makes it worth the trip.
somebody wake up Zort and tell him to update the pic..quick!
..MEL
Gonna be disappointed if you go to these stores IMO, they must have no clue what they're setting themselves up for.
cool sarkk
I just emailed Zort with the info!
I think there is an update on DCAAPB.com. Tokyo Sat Melrose Friday
MEL -- it'd very LA to have the Melrose store open late for a Lost event. But if they wanted to surprise us, they'd go early and open the Tokyo store early
So I assume people have noticed the Friday and Saturday additions to the DCaaPB site, right? Which means everything people suggested was accurate...just the wrong day.
Figures it would be old news by the time I made a comment
Tokyo stays up late too, they could open Melrose early at 8, and re-open Tokyo at midnight.
MEL do you tweet?
the picture is updated and it says friday right on it.
LostMan said...
So..does this mean they are going to go on sale Friday? I'm new to this. how does it work? Thanks!
==============
A URL will be revealed, all the URL's are quotes from episodes of LOST, there's a list of all the URL's that have and will be used but I don't know if there's a way to figure out the URL before hand. For e.g. the last URL was: "youmightwanttoconsiderhikingboots.com". Here's a link to this sites list of previously used URL's matching to the posters:
http://www.lostargs.com/2009/08/lost-underground-fan-art-project.html
(Uptop it says DCaaBP Posters, Zort has done a very nice job on this website). Once the new URL is revealed we can go to the link and the new poster will be revealed, "available soon" will show in red. At some point after, a "Buy Now" button will show in place of the "Available Soon" spot, then its a matter of quick fingers and/or a decision if you want the poster. Having an account setup makes it quicker but you still have to put your CC info in. It could take alot of F5's and luck as only 200 of the printed 300 are released to the public by each artist. The reason the last poster went in 7 minutes could be partly attributed to the artist, Dan McCarthy but 200 posters for well 6-10 million Lost fans in the U.S. alone, then there's the millions of fans worldwide and those who think....well nevermind. Anyway, hope that helps a bit.
damoncarltonandapolarbear.com is a good place to start to get an idea of whats been going on, the HUB link on that page will show all the clues, or you can see them here.
@Ob....I'm over 40..so the answer to that question wouldn't be something you want to hear..Do I tweet? no sweety.. the blue bird of happiness eludes me...MEL
As long as the url reveal is past 130pm pst i'll be happy. If its a poster i like i'll be even happier.
Now the picture says (SAT) beside Tokyo and (FRIDAY) under Melrose.
http://damoncarltonandapolarbear.com/dcpb/x/images/f10text2.jpg
OMG!! A LOST Moment rite here.. Faraday's rocket experiment is proven True!!
MEL
Hey I'm over 40 and I tweet!
I would think they would try to coordinate the times because there's no use in revealing a URL here and then reveal the same URL 16 hours later in Tokyo. And since they only have one frame up, you'd think it'd be the same URL.
I'm sure they'll let us know "soon".
I think it will be revealed on either Friday or Sat, they just updated the pic and now its got those days on it!!
Hub has been updated. Friday for Melrose and Saturday for Tokyo.
..I'm getting the feeling this evening here, will become known world wide as a Webdom Classic.
MEL
I'm waaaay over 40 and I tweet, too!
And I agree that the reveal should be coordinated between Melrose and Tokyo locations to be at the same time. Why else would there be 2 different days?
I'm blaming this all on Christopher Columbus! If he just would have stayed home, the world would still be flat and we would not have this problem.
MEL
Yeah, that makes sense maven. I did the conversion, however, and 9:00am Saturday in Tokyo (the earliest conceivable reveal time on Saturday) is 5:00pm Thursday afternoon in LA.
So I'm not quite sure how they'll be able to work this one.
How late is this place open in LA?
LA store hours are 10 to 7.
..Soooo,,this frame actually may be a Faraday frame..reveal at the exact same time..but on two different days...GaK!....MEL
Friday here and Saturday in Tokyo, are ESSENTIALLY the same "day".
If anyone is tweeting, follow ShoxTP
Just got home and saw the newest clue. Agree with everyone about simultaneous reveal in the two different time zones - the time difference is just too great otherwise. Mmmm. I might be able to be a poster buddy for somebody depending on the time. Will we get a more definitive time or is this it?
Okay, I'm wondering if I'm missing something. The page now reads Melrose (Friday) and Tokyo (Saturday). Melrose is in the +10.5Z timezone (they're on DST); Tokyo is in the +9Z. How can it be Friday in Melrose and Saturday in Tokyo? If it's supposed to be the other way around, however, that gives us an East Coast time window of 0930h - 1100h since we're on daylight savings time right now so it's -4Z.
Melrose Ave, Los Angeles CA.
Just sent a message to Hiroki about what time the store opens Saturday in Tokyo. There are no times listed on the Ron Herman site for Tokyo.
According to Hiroki, the Tokyo store opens at 11am, but the store was ready 30 minutes prior to that.
Yes, he just answered me...it's 11AM Japan time on Saturday morning. That coincides with 7PM PST which is closing time at the Melrose store.
New clue is up. They added a "Sat" next to Tokyo and a "Friday" below Melrose.
Re-posting the link for the Ron Herman Tokyo Store:
Ron Herman Tokyo
Hours listed are Mon-Sun 11:00-19:30
Oops that has been said many times, my bad.
MEL you are hilarious as always. But I think you may be right about a Faraday connection on this one.
They keep updating the frame clue in a single picture, not adding more pictures for this frame, which seems to confirm a coordinated 2 store reveal.
ObFuSc8: Thanks...I didn't see that.
hey, heads up, there's a new part to the clue! it now says in parenthesis next to Melrose: (Friday) and next to Tokyo: (Sat)
mel. a web classic 4 sure! light thru a prism or something. even faraday would be laughing at this!
I think the second page of comments is confusing people lol (as it did me).
Yeah maven, that would coincide (the closing/opening times) but it seems to be pushing the limit on the LA side, no? Perhaps the LA reveal will be earlier in the day, along with the URL release... but the poster won't go on sale until the Tokyo store reveal happens?
Or we'll just all go by whatever happens in LA, and ignore Tokyo all together?
Also, I think it's safe to assume there will be a 5th clue with further details Thursday night/Friday morning (US time).
Though I like that they are changing the game up with the way they reveal clues. Keeps us on our toes.
Would be cautious about ignoring the Tokyo part of the reveal. They could hav eposted successive cluse but instead kept updating/adding to the same picture.
I could even see a 2 part reveal -- part in LA, part in Tokyo. OK I guess that'd be a stretch, maybe a bit too challenging to coorinate.
Forgive me if I just missed someone's comment, but has anyone seen they added Fri and Sat. to the clue? I dont know when they updated it so idk if someone else already mentioned it.
So the URL will be revealed on Fri here in the US, and by that time it'll be Sat. in Tokyo. Someone help me, what time of day is it when that happens, exactly? Midnight?
Locke's Secret
The Crash
The Hatch
I don't know if people have posted this yet, but with the addition of the (Friday) and (Sat) to the clue... I think I've figured it out.
If the reveal is Friday morning in L.A. at the Melrose location... Tokyo is 17 hours ahead of L.A., which would make it early Saturday morning! I wonder if they are planning a simultaneous reveal at both locations? It would be REALLY awesome if they revealed 2 separate POSTERS at the same time: one in each location!
I live in San Diego, but have Friday off. It's only a 2 hour drive, so I want to go. But when I told my wife she would have to buy the poster for me online (since I would not have computer access at the site)... she freaked out and said she didn't want the responsibility, in case she couldn't get the poster before it sold out. LOL! I'll try to calm her down before then... so I can go! :-)
A Barely-Related Sidenote: I have yet to buy a poster, so I never knew who you all were talking about when you said "Tyson," until someone above explained that it was the person who operates Gallery 1988. Idk how many of you are familiar with this Gallery but it is excellent for new "hip" upcoming artists. They represent something like over 100 artists; do we know if perhaps all the artists to participate in making posters so far, are all repped by this Gallery? I ask b/c 1) it might help us figure out what's coming in the future, but 2) b/c they represent one of my fav artists, a guy named Luke Chueh...
Luke is an amazing artist who's work is cool and inspiring but eerily dark. He always paints animals (like white rabbits) but puts them in really messed up situations. For example, his most recent show was a retelling of Dante's Inferno with all animal characters. See the full show here: http://1988chuehinferno.blogspot.com/
Idk if he'd be contributing to the series, but if he ever did I'd pay any amount for a print. I say all this just b/c I thought you all would like to see some other work from good artists.
I've just got up and seen the new clue, I've got to go through all the comments now to see what happened last night and update the main post accordingly.
NEW POST
@charles - Yeah, a print by Luke Chueh would be pretty cool. I'm not too familiar with him, but does he do screenprints? I thought he only did paintings and prints of those. I could be wrong.
Off the top of my head, I don't think Timothy Doyle, Leia Bell, or Dan McCarthy are represented by Gallery1988, but they may have had stuff displayed there. For instance, Doyle did the show poster for the most recent Crazy 4 Cult.
@Waffle - No actually I think you're right about Chueh and him only doing prints of paintings. Just wishful thinking I guess lol. As far as the other artists, to the best of my knowledge none of them are directly connected to 1988, but for that Gallery to be handling everything...or at least for it to seem like they are...I wouldnt be surprised if there was more to come in direct relation to that Gallery.
Final details are up!
"Visit Ron Herman Melrose tomorrow, Friday October 23rd for the big reveal at 10AM PT sharp!
or...
With the print reveal already in the bag, stop by Ron Herman Tokyo on Saturday, October 24th if you missed out."
The phrase "in the bag" seems a bit curious, doesn't it? Man... I'll have to pull some strings to see if I can get up there in the morning! :-)
