The websites are usually live with the poster up for 20 or 30 min before the "Buy Now" button is active. Why does everyone want to find out the URL early?? Even if you knew the URL and went to it before the official reveal, it would only take you to the GoMerch site

I have to disagree with LotteryTicket...don't go for a poster if you don't want it. Who's to say that person who buys it won't flip it? Let it go if you don't want it, that gives someone else who wants it the opportunity to buy. We may be a team here, but remember that everyone wants one just as bad as another. Just don't go after it if you don't want it, someone else misses out...like me.

How many Losties have "given" their posters to a fellow Lostie...like 2? I don't mean to seem angry or anything like that, but I think this idea may not be ideal. I just don't think everyone in the LOST universe is as close as you think. I've seen many a poster on Ebay and under the description it says "I'm a LOST fan, but I need money".

well, I do think people know that I am a true lost fan and would never flip. I didn't get to the second place on the game last year from not loving lost. <<--Maladylis but some of us have a slower pc or fingers. but you don't have to share feel_the_insanity no worries.
There's a place for cynicism and I'm a pretty good cynic myself but I think most people who've kept an eye on the LOST community for any length of time know the names that could be trusted and are probably deserving.
I'll say now that If I'm lucky tonight and a trusted full setter is not so lucky they should let me know and we'll see if we can figure something out.

I am asking readers is if your heart guides you in this direction, and you have turbo computing skillz, please purchase and make a Lost fan happy.

However, it's a whole different story if you buy the print and then when it gets delivered to you, you don't like it. I may have that situation with Walt's Kidnapping, the more I look at it the more I don't like it. When it's delivered I'll take a look and make a judgment. If I don't like it, then I'd be willing to A) Trade it or B) Sell it for face value to someone. All I'm saying is, don't get caught in this "I-must-have-ever-poster" thing, if you don't like it then don't buy it.

Well, artistically speaking...people say Shepard Fairey is one of the best in the business. And I think his stuff doesn't hold a candle to Ken Taylor or Daniel Danger.

I have no interest in making money on any of these prints, I only have interest in getting the ones I like and hanging them up on my wall. Here's my concern with people buying posters to pass on to others: that person than gets to chose who to pass it along to. I'm okay with having to compete with the system to get a poster, but having to compete with other people for one person's sympathies just doesn't seem fair.
Anyway, I really hope they've upgraded their servers this time around. I don't want to spend 30 minutes hitting refresh while at work just to get shut out. And I can't stay late, since I'm going to a concert tonight. Not as fancy as Zort's, but I'm excited to see Art Brut. (Top of the Pops!)

I get you both, LT and Insanity. My gut feeling is to just go for the poster if I like it, and leave it for another, Lost fan hopefully, if I don't. However, if I had someone specific in mind, like Zort who is away tonight, to try and get it for, then I would feel very happy to get it for them. I would know it was going to a "good home".

since we're discussing, even in passing, the idea of selling posters to other LOST fans, if anyone has The Crash and for some strange reason they don't want it, I'd love to get my hands on one. My biggest regret through this whole thing is that I didn't start checking DCAAPB religiously until after The Crash was sold out.

Yes, I think that the FDW would be an excellent subject choice, if done in a way that appeals to me. I don't think that I would like too much artistic license as we've seen so far on that subject, I'd like it best if it looked more like it does in the show.

Hey everyone,
Been reading posts here for the past couple of days and decided to jump in. I was checking DCAAPB on a regular basis for the first 3-4 prints but am paying my way through school so I wanted to wait to buy a couple of the prints when it was more feasible, and now that it's blown up the way it has I'll feel lucky to just get any prints at all. My sister lives in NYC and will be at SPiN as I know some of you all will and I just wanted to give my best wishes. Also, if I do manage to get one of today's prints I can think of very few scenarios in which I wouldn't trade it for Locke's Secret or Walt's Kidnapping, so any willing traders out there keep that in mind.
