After a few days of radio silence we have our first clue for Frame 14.
The most popular theory so far is that there is a link to Hawaii in this clue.
There is also an interesting link with Damon Lindelof, where he says at the end of the Star Trek DVD comentary that the Sequel will be called Pineapple. There is a Star Trek Exhibition in Hollywood at the moment.
Thanks HenryGaleWasHere for being the first to tell us about it.

reAnimated. I contact them last night. People were sending the word "pineapple' via twitter. They were at a loss but now up-to-date.
Finally the letter! It mentions 50 Dharma balls and Hawaii is the 50th state!
LT: Awesome job...and to think we knew you when! LOL
Losties are fabulous with helping each other out: From sending Hiroki hard to come by Lost swag, from offering print trades, from taking down Ebay listings, and trying to offer prints the fairest way! Proud of everyone!
And you guys always make me laugh!

@lora, it's possible there was a box because that's the best way to ship a ping pong ball :)
As my 5 year old nephew would say, "Duh!" I guess I wasn't thinking clearly, having just returned from babysitting said 5 year old nephew for several hours. :)
Frank, I would definitely be interested in putting my name in the "raffle" or whatever you decide. I'd also be interested in buying the print. From one LOST fan to another, thank you for taking it off of Ebay.
I love how in the letter they refer to "something that limited would sell for way above its asking price." Hahaha, so true. They really are watching us. And, as always, good sleuthing everyone.
Hi Fellow Losties,
Don't know if anyone else has come up with this: the letter seems to be pointing out: the keyboard needs a rest/break (a vacation), & that limited items such as the pingpong balls could be "auctioned". Obvisously it points to Hawaii & pineapples on the site, so: There is a silent auction on Sunday, Nov 22 at the Grand Hyatt in Kaua'i, (also the town the Dole Pineapple plantation is located). Incidentally, there is a Hawaii vacation package available at the auction. See link: http://kauai.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/20091111/COMPUB0801/911110315/Hyatt+golf+and+silent+auction+for+Make-a-Wish
Maybe it's a stretch, but it makes sense to me. Good Luck - hope everyone is gets the prints they want, this is a nail bitter! - Mib
@LT - Awesome. Ryan actually gave me some tips on some Lost locations and tour recommendations in Hawaii earlier this year before my vacation. Good people! Hope they get to be included in this madness.
mib, yes. thank you. who's the benefit of the auction?
BTW, Lotto. Been adding the clues (pineapple, letter) to our Wave. Also invited Ryan to join the wave as well. Started a user location map too if anyone is included and wants to map out themselves. :)
Joe, thanks so much for sending this in, Can I post it on the main page ?
Hi all,
Sorry to get way off topic here, but I wanted to get impressions from those that ordered the Black Rock reproduction poster. I just got mine today and I'm already returning it, the quality is terrible, the image is all jagged up like a low quality Jpeg downloaded off the web and reprinted, actually I'm sure I could get a better quality just screen capturing off the Blu-ray. Maybe this was not the case before, anyone have a comment on this?
Thanks
Joe Dale- Thanks for sharing! And if you end up selling one of your ping pong balls- I would love to buy it :)
Cheers and congrats!
Hawaii here we come!
LotteryTicket - Got the audio this time :-)
What if "connected" and "way above" are the clues. I'm thinking mountains, cable rides- then again something like that might be too hard for people to get to. Any well known height you use connection to get to in Hawaii?
"Nov 11, 2009 (The Honolulu Advertiser - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- HOG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- The Grand Hyatt Kaua'i Resort & Spa will host a golf tournament and silent auction on Nov. 22 to raise money for Make-a-Wish Hawai'i."
Lottery Ticket,
The auction at the Grand Hyatt is to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation, I beleive.
LT - I was top 10, and my purchase time was 3:24:14. So if the 24:14 is the important part (due to different time zones)... that would mean, I got mine 8:07 before you? Can that be right?
Oh no, I hope it's not Sunday night that they have the bidding war for the poster. We are having our Thanksgiving that day because too much family here and there all week.
BTW... just looked at my order status. It looks like both "Jacob's Cabin" and "The Barracks" have shipped! Woo hoo!
Out of interest, a lot of Jacobs Cabins were changed to shipped at the same time as Walt's Kidnapping. Shouldn't some people start receiving them about now? Unless they messed that up and only shipped them last week, to ship the day after sale was pretty strange in itself.
My order was around 70th it seems (based on order number) at 3:25:11, so another minute after Patmc
patmc. that number is the accounting@gomerch
mine for order 2511
3:32:21 and 3:24:14
8:07 difference. right?
there is another time stamp on the other confirmation. should read 5:24and something.
Congrats Joe Dale!
I have to agree with pretty much everyone - the reveal location has got to be Hawaii.
Off topic,
abctvstore.p0.com has a few new LOST items, and because I previously signed up for their emails, I received a coupon code to get 25% off on almost everything on their site. The code (Holiday25) is good until Nov. 26. Just thought I would share.
P.S. Is it wrong that I used the code to buy Christmas gifts for myself and no one else?
Myrna, Amy Lynn, I also thought 'auction' when I read the "sell way above asking price" part. And then I thought, are they wanting me to sell these ping pong balls?! :)
Comixguru, you can have one ping pong ball for "way above asking price". I don't know what I'm asking though. :D
Lora, it was in a tiny little 4x4x4brown box with two air-filled plastic glow in the dark balls surrounded by air-filled plastic bubble wrap!
Lottery Ticket, I read about you missing out on this print - that stinks. But I don't think the time stamps will tell much. Mine was 8-9 minutes before yours. If I remember your description right, you placed your order a few minutes after the main page had said Sold Out but you were still on a cart page that held the print, so the system let you complete the purchase anyway. So that's probably why your order (and the other cancelled orders) are so much 'later' than the earliest ones.
OK, confused? Because I just confused myself! :)
Does anybody think the "keyboard must be very tired. Give it a break. It deserves it" has any deeper significance? I know it's only one clue per letter usually but this one seems to breaking that 'rule'...
And Zort, yes please you can post wherever you like. I would have sent it to you directly if I knew how!
JT, I too thought that "stay connected" in the last line of the letter might be another clue.
I guess this is what happens when we have to wait so long for clues!
Howdy,
Back to the drawing board, called Grand Hyatt Mr. Al Garca at the Grand Hyatt says there is no Lost connection to their auction/event, sorry. :( - Mib
Just to throw it out there, my official order time was 3:23:44.
NEW POST for the letter clue.
I'm off to bed now which means a new clue is due any time soon.
The podcast is done, and will be made available soon.
not sure if this has been mentioned, but a pineapple is the symbol for hospitality.
Ok, to enter the contest to purchase my Swan Station print, just make a comment to the post over at my reconditioned blog. This way I don't have to have my email flooded, and then everything is nice and open.

new clue
Eyeball eater???
This is a blog about fishing in Hawaii-"In the harbor Lance was the eyeball eater today, good going. ..."
these are from the fishing reports of the Kuuloa Kai Big Game Fishing company. Indicates a fishing accomplishment? Here's another:"In the harbor Joe was a repeat eyeball eater having eaten one before with us so he now has 2 on the board. good going Aloha Capt Rusty"
Any Hawaii folk know what this means or if it leads to anything?
