My experience so far has been generally fine, but not without some issues in the display of some classes, I'm off to find out of my Blu-Ray player needs a firmware update.

By the way take a closer look a the Deans list (last screenshot) you might see a couple of familiar names.
Not everything is rosy with LU as I get this small problem after taking a class.I'm assuming it is my player at the moment but it is annoying to have to restart the player after each class to clear this.

More but minor weirdness from LU. In 2nd class for Lan 101 they do French. I took it for six years and was declared fluent (doubt it lol!). They include this phrase:
You have to move the island.
Vous devez quitter l'ile.
"Devoir" (devez) implies obligation in this context, must/have to. But "quitter" isn't "move". The translation is actually:
You have to LEAVE the island.
If it was copied from the sub/dub script for the French, they must have had a different spin on that scene.

hey guys, have not read all the comments because have not started lost u yet and do not want to spoil self as am excited to play it out.
but, am wondering, have we (the royal we) given up on trying to solve clues for print 16 before the 15th?
so got back from the doc. He gave Joey meds for infection and ordered another round of blood tests (made my son ball when he said that) Luckily my son didn't really hear his other comment about a biopsy. The doc said how he'd rather do the Blood work and not the biopsy so he didn't have to mess up my sons cute face with a huge scar. I wanted to smack him for that but my son didn't hear it. So he goes to his fathers with pills which he will be thrilled about-Not. To keep my fears under wraps, my son and I made a bet on if his father would scream at me or not. If he doesn't, I get to clean his room. lol Stressful day and not really anymore known about what is wrong. He suggested cat scratch fever but then when he asked me if he had a oozing sore from a scratch, I knew he never had one. Hope the blood work finds something this time, he now has about 6 largely swollen lymph-nodes.

Have they actually tested him for bartonella the causative agent for cat scratch fever? There are many modes of transmission for it. He could contract it from a flea or tick, or even from coming into contact with cat feces.

Had a question on the posting of the LU videos on Dark already. How did they get up the semester 2 videos- I thought it hadn't started yet? Or can the discs be hacked somehow to give access? Not planning or capable of doing anything myself- just wondered how that could be.
@Just Thinking- Well, it hasn't happened for you, but I traveled to the future so I could attend. :) I just figured I'd put that in the description now instead of going back later and adding it. I own four other prints, but I haven't decided which I'll do framing for, so those pictures are pending as well.
@Amy Lynn- That frame was the only manufactured frame available in that size at JoAnn's. They had it in black or gray. I'm glad it's a nice frame since I did not want to pay for a custom one. I think it'd work well for Ben Linus, though I think I heard that print is actually bigger than 18x24 and if it is, the matting may be a bit thin for this particular frame.

This part is off topic, but:
Lisa -- I don't want to overstep, but there are some types of fevers with lymph node enlargement in children that are pretty benign, and others that need more looking into(especiall if the lymph nodes are more than a couple centimeters in size). Also, from what you described it sounds like your son had Kawasaki's syndrome when he was a baby, and although there's really no chance of relapse of that, Kawasaki's can leave lasting valve damage and residual aneurysms. A tooth infection that is already taken care of should not cause new fevers and new lymph node enlargement. If the fevers do not go away in a couple days, and/or the lymph node enlargement persists/worsens I would suggest you ask for a consult with an Infectious Disease specialist or a lymph node biopsy.
Ugh, sorry Lisa -- I did not click over to the second page of comments when I posted that reply. I am glad your pediatrician is working this up.
You don't need to have an open scratch/sore to contract cat scratch fever, even contact with the cat's saliva can be enough. Is your son around cats? As someone mentioned above, there is a blood test for the organism that causes cat scratch fever, and the test is pretty sensitive (and specific), so you should ask your doc if it was part of the panel that was sent.
If that comes back negative, a lymph node biopsy has to be next. It is always difficult to see your child experience such pain and suffering, and I know you'd gladly suffer through it for him if you could. Biopsies these days can be done quickly with minimal scarring. As long as there is a lymph node in his neck, it would be the easiest place for the biopsy. So if you don't have answers soon, I would urge you to get your son back to the doc and get the biopsy.
Good news for those of you who are flying to L.A. for Tuesday's show: the 5 day weather forecast is calling for sunny weather on Tuesday, with highs in the low to mid 70's (all our metric friends can convert that to Celsius). Should be a really nice escape from where all that white, cold stuff falls out of the sky. Though if you have to see some snow, the L.A. mountains should have some for you... and they're only about an hour away. :-)

thanks everyone, yes ObFuSc8, it was Kawasaki that he had.He had the worse case they ever saw and had two treatments and was on the Hospital journal cover since he was so swollen. You know they think it comes from washing your carpets. His father had done it that week he was sick, it was/ is one of his obsessions and he still washes them, just not when Joey is there since I mentioned it in front of Joey. Joey goes to his fathers today and will be back next Friday. I have very weird custody but one I couldn't get out of when fighting Mr.Millionaire in court. So, I'm hoping the meds fix this because it will be a mess with the ex if they don't since his belief is no docs at all. If I didn't have the ex to deal with this while finding out what was wrong, I wouldn't worry as much. I've done heart surgery with another son etc. Keeping my fingers crossed myself

It looks like the people who thought thte last print would be a season 6 WCM were right. Or at least partially. I will be a season 6 tease. I really didn't think it would have anything about season 6.

Anybody else got their Jay Ran print already? So far only two entries in Lotto's list are marked as completed... which feels a little odd considering how long it's been since the reveal.
I can pretty much guarantee that TPTB aren't going to leak to a little known magazine blogger. Also, Paul said that everyone will have a chance to buy this print. If 16 goes on sale the day that everyone is flying back home, that sort of negates the whole deal.
There have been two people that have emailed the admins address with some puctures of the polar bear.
So it is starting to arrive now.
The only way to be sure about the EW info is to go and buy or read the magazine. I've had a look in my local (large) newsagent but they don't stock it.

Lisa, it's good to hear that at least your doc is doing some more tests on your little guy. But you hate it when kids have to get all poked up with tests though. Yes, he should be a little more sensitive in his bedside manner in front of a kid, gosh. Maybe the festivities of the season and your funny bets will help keep his mind off of things. Sure wish that your ex didn't have to be in the picture while your son is sick though, to bad that extenuating circumstances can't be arranged and accounted for with custody until he gets better. xo
I think that we should try to keep an open mind about people who post here for sales, or just ignore them. Someone who messed up in the past might have seen the light, and if not, no one is obligated to buy at the price that they are offering if it's not kosher. But as Zort says, generic offers for sales and trades should go to the other site that's specifically set up for that. Between the Argies here, we've got that covered pretty much with our trades and such.

Well, the other thing that strikes me as *wrong* in the EW bit is the part about two S6 spoilers. TPTB know full well there are a ton of us who don't even want to be mildly spoiled. And none of the prints have even come from S4 or S5. It seems almost impossible that we'd skip from the middle of season 3 to S6.

Doc Jensen has been writing about Lost for quite sometime. And he's usually a good read. I don't know that he has any special intel but he is one fo the few people that Damon is actully following on Twitter.
And Lisa, my thoughts are with you guys. It's so scary when the kids are sick and you don't know what they have.
I agreee Sayidsgirl and Eugene, DocJ has been the go-between for us and TPTB in the past, and also sometimes used as their mouthpiece when they feel like letting a little something out via his vast readership.
But right Amy, EW has been notorious for clumsily leaking spoilers, sometimes they even put them in the artcile title and then you open up the mail (if you subscribe) and boom, there's the spoiler. Not cool of them.
@Capcom, interesting. If the poster really is going on sale on the 16th, that makes it incredibly difficult for a lot of our people.

Although if the whole deal was finished on the 15th, that means that I'd get to see the live broadcast in theaters of the RiffTrax guys (formerly MST3K for those who know them) on the 16th. It's a special Xmas short sendup that whould be hilarious. The Plan9 show they did was side-splitting, so I'm hope to be able to go. OK, back to Lost Talk. :-B

Doc Jensen is always my favorite part of EW while Lost is around. He has a weekly column dedicated to Lost, and just recently started the column back up. He also does a video series called "Totally Lost" during the Lost season, that is pretty funny. At Comic Con, Doc Jensen did his own Lost Panel, and not only did Michael Emmerson show up, but Damon and Carlton made a surprise appearance. I'm pretty certain that he should be at the Gallery 1988 opening, so we can probably ask him there... :-)

Well they're not exactly spoilers. Maybe more like to much information. I usually read it after the episode airs. I agree with you I have ALL spoilers including episode titles. Which is why I hated how this started. But TPTB don't consider titles spoilers.
If the print does drop on the 16th., we were told we didn't have to leave our homes to buy these.
I'm not sure if the expected people to fly across country for this event. Although they should have.
I guess we'll have to wait and see as always. :)
Jensen mostly gives fair warning when he is going to talk about something spoilery before he begins -- and often even puts it on the next page -- but sometimes he might talk about something very minor that an extremely non-spoiler person might not want to know. He rarely if ever reveals anything that TPTB haven't given him the go-ahead for. He's not at all in the category of the people who fling out spoilers for their own enjoyment or personal aggrandizement (like a certain other Doc, ahem) and shouldn't be put in that category at all.
They definitely expected people to fly out for this. Otherwise, we wouldn't have gotten two weeks notice.
That should be hate not have spoilers.
Yeah you're probably right. That's what I was thinking with the two week time period.
Maybe it will drop late to give people time to get back. Or maybe it will be sold on line after the reveal at the gallery is what was meant. Hard to say.
Well, to be overly analytical, when the gallery party ends at 10pm PST, it'll be the next day in all parts of the world that matter. :)
BTW, does anyone who follows Jensen know how his wife is doing with her brain tumor or whatever it was? I haven't read his articles over the hiatus so I haven't heard how she's doing. Tx.

Morning all! Feeling better, but staying home on this cold, rainy day in LA! We expect another big rain storm (at least for LA) tomorrow, too! So I'll be around if the poster delivery comes today or tomorrow! And I did check extended forecast and Tuesday promises to be clear and around 67 degrees...chilly for us, but not for others!
I thought Doc Jensen was pretty well known in the LOST world! Some of this theories are pretty wacky, but he does extensive research to try and back himself up. I always read his recaps of the episodes after they are aired. And he does consistently warn readers if he has a spoiler-ish tip. I highly recommend his columns, and "Totally Lost" vids are very well-done!
