i wish we knew the price. i think that would have only kept the really interested parties around for the sale. i think most people - myself included - just want a chance to buy it if we want. unlike the first sale, in which i stayed online all day and had no chance of getting one. total bummer.

Richard says, first you have to drink 2 bottles of McCutheon Whiskey, then you have to go into a cave and kill a polar bear with your bear hands, then to seal your induction into our group by making love to one of our women for 10 hours.

That night there's a big party to initiate John. Everyone sits around the fire and they pass him a bottle of Whiskey. He down's about half without much trouble, bet the second half is much more difficult. Finally he finishes it, and they pass him another. He finally manages to finish off the second bottle and the crowd claps and sings. Then he tried to get up but fell over drunk.
Richard picks him up and points him in the direction of the polar bear cave. He staggers over and climbs in. Suddenly there's a huge commotion from within the cave. Bears growling and him screaming and wailing in pain. Half an hour later he stumbles out of the cave, Torn to shreds, bloodied, and half dead. He turns to the crowd and drunkenly says,

Having a 3 hour window where the poster could go on sale was a mistake. Should have set a firm time, let whoever could get into the site buy it, and then putting up the inevitable "SOLD OUT" sign 15-30 seconds later.
He posted at OMG he won't email out the details. Hopefully he will change his mind though.

Except we are probably all the ones to blame why he isn't able to put up the poster for sale within his time frame! I'm sure our F5 fever is knocking and locking him out of his own site.

@drsluggo - the company that I know of has some safeguards against that, I don't know of anyone who's cheated. But obviously friends could still enter for you . . . still at least it takes some stress off buyer, seller, and server.
Probably site problems - emailed Stout a couple times this past week - very nice, replied to both. Seems like he went out of his way to make it fair, unfortunately the technology did not cooperate . . .

So, due to increased demand and web traffic, i will no longer be selling stuff on tstout.com. THE SALE ON MY SITE (which is crashed) IS CANCELED. New sale instructions to follow. normally i hate changing plans in mid-sale, but i don't see tstout.com not being crashed for hours and hours to come, and i don't want you wasting more of your time refreshing it.
instead, i will relay sale information via this mailing list. So, now would be the time to unsubscribe (see bottom of this email, click SafeUnsubscribe and that's it, no more emails from me). if you're just interested in getting an email from me once every so often, this is not the mailing list to be on. it is only for those interested in getting constant sale instructions from me. during a sale week you may get up to 3 or 4. i hate doing it, but i can't keep up with the site crashings and emails from frustrated customers.
so, fair warning. i won't hold it against you if you unsubscribe. otherwise i'll assume you like getting several emails from me in a short span of time. no need to email and say 'keep me on your mailing list', just don't unsubscribe and you'll stay on it.
