I actually really like this print, but it doesn't scream LOST to me.
It's going to take a while to catch up with all the comments, but my initial recation of I'm not sold on this one is still with me.
Did anyone make a purchase in my name ? If they did of course I'll honour that, but I'm not convinced I want it. It may be one of those that looks better IRL.

Guys, tomorrow afternoon I'm going to be at the hospital visiting my grandmother after her surgery. I will see the finale with my friends 16 hours after it airs there in the US, but i don't want to miss the JKL special with all the cast.

ioioos, yes it has been a day of sitting on my backside watching the screen and stage.
I don't get to do that very often so it's a nice change. Plus there were only 5 people in the huge cinema earlier so it was nearly like a personal screening.

I also think that this will look much better in person. I like that these newer posters are really branching out with such different styles. I wasn't crazy about the Charlie print, but applaud the effort to include such a different visual approach.
I think you will find the jimmy kimmel on you tube or even on all the lost web sites soon after the next day. someone will be able to tell you where to see it.

Order # 128758...I was already sign in when it went live..so I got booted out..then went back in, hurried thru the process..got the white screen of death twice..both times, did not panic..waited a few seconds , hit refresh,,and slowly moved on..to the final okie dokie checkout news of being successful..like old times...Thanks Zort for a larger version..This one reminds me of stained glass approach..just mite be a window in a LOST Church. Hasn't sold out yet either..abit suprised..Its going to be tough to top Dangers Black Rock.

The cinematic, dramatic angle combined with the colors reminds me of Indiana Jones. Anybody else? It's like Sawyer is looking at an enormous boulder about to run him over. I like it.
How many of us were enamored with and collected film posters in our early days? I think that explains our current unhealthy obsession with these screenprints. ;)

TKI, yes Indiana Jones that's what was going round the back of my head.
MEL, I think across the sea is a good episode, I just don't know how to put in context yet, I think we are missing something that will make it great episode.
Across The Sea needed to set us up for the finale by making it clear what all these rules are about, how a candidate is ultimately chosen/selected as successor, what causes a name to be crossed off the list, why the Island needs to be protected, where the MIB would go if he left, etc.
If we had a relatively clear understanding of all the mechanics of the mythology, then we would have a handle on where the show was going in the final 3.5 hours and we could focus on the characters. It was interesting to see the history they showed us, but it really did not clear up as many of those questions as I had expected. I didn't hate the episode like some others, but I wish it had cleared things up rather than raising new questions and mysteries the week before the series ends. But hey--that's Lost for you...
Phew. Up and on my way to work after a night of getting up every hour to check for prints. It would be hard to pretend I'm not completly crazy at this point.
I still don't think I'll be picking this one up even with the increased clarity of the morning light. I really like the art but having already bought 'Desmond' I can't really afford two in one week that I'll probably never put up anywhere.
Oh God, I went to have dinner after passing on this print and I just couldn´t stop thinking about it and seeing it in my mind. Now I´m back at the computer and seeing it at the lostarg page and the more I look at it the more I like it... Sawyer is my fav male character and I love the colors. The style is weird, but if you get pass the lines crossing the characters, it´s just like a comic book-graphic novel style, with a view of the end of the cave (up where Flocke is) and another view of the exit (inside the rectangle where Sawyer is).
I think I´d like to buy it but problem is I only have the money for 1 print and I fear I will like one of the remaining 4 better.
Ahhh I don´t know what to do! If only shipping to my country was cheaper, I might be able to afford 2 prints, but it´s more than $30 for shipping each print >.<
As for Across The Sea I loved it. My favorite episodes of Lost are the ones that are just great stories and no matter what we did or didn't learn during the episode I think Across The Sea was one of the best they ever told.

dylansdad...ditto ditto ditto your take on Across the Sea. I didnt hate it but had the same feelings you did regarding lack of expected resolution.
~ ioioos....yes, the reason I think Wallce=Desmond=108 on the dial, somehow, is that it is a very Scottish name and we havent 'met' a Wallce' thus far on the show. Also because of the obvious association of Des to the hatch countdown. But youre right, I dont think he's the candidate - my guess there is Jack or Hurley , still. Kate is... an interesting possibility.
I looked at the Smoke Monster when it went up, and I passed on it. Then I went back later to look at it again and decided to go ahead and pick it up after all. It sold out minutes later. When it arrived and I saw it in person, my brain melted.
If you think you might like a print based on a small online image, I can tell you that it will be ten times more impressive in person--and when it's gone, it's gone. (At least for fifty bucks...)
@ MEL - Guy Burwell's work is very very reminiscent of a that 'stained glass approach' you refer to, yes! I hazzard to say you will not be disappointed.
The colour scheme of this poster is very close to his Flight of the Conchords poster that I have. Until I got that one, I did not realize how intricate the details were or that he used metallic inks , to amazing effect.

Concerning..Across The Sea..Zort , you bring up the perception that ,,how it fits into every thing isn't entirely known yet..Ahh,,but it does, imho. Heres how..the fable/ story is about the cost of breaking the Illusion. MIB paid dearly for calling out MomNot and her dimwitted Jacob.
Fascinating:,,MomNot says..they always want more,,as an excuse for not sharing..hiding the beautiful warm fuzzy Light..The previous episode, The Candidate, Helen tells Jack to let it go, back off, on searching for Anthony Cooper..She says..You saved his Life, isn't that enough? and Jack replies.." No..its Not enough..So, there is the link between Across The Sea and the rest...LOST is slowly raising the Veil Of Illusion..With some thought..it may occur..or at least , the idea may spring up..that our LOSTIES..how we perceive them,needs to be changed. MIB/ LOCKEZILLA,,would definetly see them as " encumbrances,,"..obstacles,,dead weights..since..Jacob brought them to the Island..In Other words, the LOSTies,,as their own worst enemies, begins to fit very well, as demonstrated in the Sub. Jck was the only one thinking out of the box. Yay for Jack. Sawyer wasn't..boom..Point being, the bomb was a test..jack passed the test.b ut nobody else did..maybe Sayid..afterall he did let Jack know that he passed the test,,A+.
So the Veil of Illusion..that these Losties are meaning well and redeemable..is being lifted..Even when given the opportunity to change,,redeem themselves..FAIL..They are encumbrances..obstacles,, their own..or Some body's ,,worst enemy.
The irony is of course in the total opposites of Island and Sideways..Locke In Wheel Chair is his worse enemy,,and Lockezilla on Island has the Losties as His Worst Enemys..
So.. this brings me back to the proposal I've been suggesting all along..neither reality presented is " real" in any sense..There is a 3rd reality in the wings ,,waiting,,resolution of the two realities in conflict..rising above both realities to a Truth..As we've known since very early on..jack will take us there.
Tonite's episode should do it..I know my SURREAL..so..either tonite or in the finale..Pretense will figure big time..# 23 foto in Andre Breton's Nadja pertains to Pretense,,and Jack's number is 23. His arc..thru All of LOST..has been one pretense, and letting it go,,and now he searches for whatto replace his former perspective with. In the sideway hes done well..Lets see if he can bring it home.

The first time I tried, I had copied and pasted and it didnt work. Then I closed the window and tried "make a reservation" again. typed in Finality and it worked.
