«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 222 of 222Times Talk: Lost was so much fun tonight. I haven't laughed this much at the movies in a long time - much funnier than most comedies. Best line - from Damon, referencing the missing instruction book for the Greatest American Hero suit.
AND a surprise - we got to see a scene from the finale! I don't know if it was the experience of seeing it on the big screen or what, but even with just a short clip, I could tell the finale will far exceed the most recent episodes. The last line in the scene was a great way to end it.
Anyone else go?

So out of curiosity, what are people doing for the Finale? Those that are flying out to LA, what are you flying out for, etc. ?
I'm doing it nice and simple. Good friends, a BBQ and drinks, and ABSOLUTE SILENCE during the finale...which I will break before the first scene has said more than 10 sentences, I suspect. *grin*
Question for you guys:
Is there anyone on here (prob not otherwise why would you be here) who is NOT interested in buying the art this go round? I am going to be traveling to LA on Saturday and depending on what DCaaPB does, I may miss the drop or not be able to get to computer,etc. And if it's a Moss or Tan or Tong, I would like to buy it. But it would have to be someone who's obviously committed to hanging around that silly website all day, and who wouldn't want to buy it for themselves...assuming that there won't be time to buy 2 of Moss or Tan or Tong...

@UP...I'm flying out Sat to LA for the Jay and Jack party. Also, a private party Sat night with friends for the farewell...am visiting Kevin Tong's studio on Sat. afternoon. And maybe taking in Jimmy Kimmel's red carpet on Sunday since I didn't get tickets.
Your party sounds good too...much more relaxing than mine!

Very tempted! At the moment, i'm trying to convince my gf to buy it. I got a "I'll look at it again and maybe buy it tomorrow" but she can't look past the mouth. She claims it looks like they are eating each other. She is a weird person!
Safe travels to all that are flying today and tomorrow. May there be no person in front of you who fully reclines there seat and may you have short legs so you can actually sit comfortably in your seats :)

@ Martyn haha- I understand what she's seeing, actually. My take on the image is that it is Sun and Jin post final-embrace/kiss, just as life is leaving them - the equivalent of the shot in the episode where the fingers are unclasping. Does leave their mouths looking a tad zombie like and morbid, I know. But I like it! Ah, maybe in time you'll sway yourselves. Then again...two more to go...

I see it as their lips moving apart as they die, not even close to them eating each other! I love this print, after seeing the metallic ink, it's become my 2nd favourite. A lot of thought has obviously gone in to this.

The eating each other issue is my biggest gripe on what is otherwise a great print.
I also which this one had been square.
Mrs ioioos (who watches the show) pointed out that she doesn't remember Sun wearing a low cut dress and I had to inform her that Tara has a thing for chesticles!

Erm, someone mentioned that they'd seen a print done by moss or stout so those two are very viable candidates. Or could be both.
Tbh, I didn't think that danger would do another one but suprisingly he did, which made me very very happy! :D
I gotta say, I'm not fully on board with the Olly hype, I like his style but I've always preferred intricate detail. Saying that, the best piece I think olly has done is his Master Race print.
I would hope for the final two, or three, that stout, McCarthy and I'll go tan as I liked his comic like drawing with the crash.
@UP, we are doing just hubby and I in the apartment. It's our 2 year anniversary, so we are going for a nice brunch, and then home for the finale. ABSOLUTE SILENCE, too, other than commercials. We don't like watching with anyone else.
@UP, I'm staying in to watch the finale with my girlfriend. I've tried watching Lost with a group, but prefer just the two of us. I'm thinking especially for this finale because there might be some tears from me invovled. I did go
to the Lost Live event last night.
That was fun and nice for closer; sharing that event with other peopel.
@UP, I meant Live Lost was nice for CLOSURE, to get out and share the event with fellow Losties. My fingers are not awake yet.
No Lost party this time. Just my wife and I concentrating on the show without distraction. (I'm always the designated "explainer" at viewing parties--not this time.)
I think that part of the idea in this second series of prints was to give fans who missed the most coveted pieces a chance to pick up a new print from those artists. The Crash is still going for $750 on eBay, while the last Jay Ryan Polar Bear was bid up to $51. So getting Eric Tan, Olly Moss, Tyler Stout or Daniel Danger back makes sense as their prints have become the top three most popular and sought after. Another large ensemble movie poster from Stout doesn't seem likely--he does what he does and it turns out great, but it would be too repetitive to see him do it again. So I expect to see Moss and Tan do a new print for all the fans who missed Locke's Secret and The Crash.
The next level of popular original prints would probably be McCarthy, Ken Taylor and Kevin Tong. Tong has been represented in the Lost Live prints, and that's probably it from this group. I would have loved to have seen Taylor or McCarthy grab the 4th veteran slot, but it turns out there were only three--and Danger/Moss/Tan seems the most likely trio. (Especially considering they all have a continuing relationship with Gallery 1988.)
